The Climate Change Climate Change
The number of skeptics is swelling everywhere.
-
By KIMBERLEY A. STRASSEL

Steve Fielding recently asked the Obama administration to reassure him on the science of man-made global warming. When the administration proved unhelpful, Mr. Fielding decided to vote against climate-change legislation.
If you haven't heard of this politician, it's because he's a member of the Australian Senate. Washington Mutual Alumni Funds

PASS IT ON: Cash is available for laid off Wamu employees in a pinch.
Are you a former Washington Mutual employee who was laid off and haven’t quite made it back on your feet? Are you worried about making payments for essentials such as medical care, food, housing, child care, transportation or other job hunting expenses? Were you laid off after April 1, 2008, were making $29.00 an hour or less as of your last paycheck?
Or do you know a former Wamu employee who is facing tough times but doesn’t want to ask for help?
You may be a person who has never asked for help before, but emergency assistance funds are available thanks to a generous group of former Washington Mutual employees who set up this fund with you in mind. Don’t let your pride stop you from accepting help from your friends at Washington Mutual. After all, having a friend in the family is one of the things that made Wamu a great place to work.
The Washington Mutual Alumni Emergency Assistance Fund is headed by retired Washington Mutual Chairman and CEO, Louis Pepper. Steering Committee members include Fay Chapman, Lindy Friedlander, Lee Lannoye, Lynn Ryder and Liane Wilson. The funds are held at The Seattle Foundation and administered by Seattle’s Family Services. Your application for help will be kept in strictest confidence. No one ever needs to know that you applied.
